Scribble and Strum

Spent the night inside, sick and crazy from the unseasonal heat. Got to doodlin' -- here's what came out:

Oh, right. You can share stuff you draw.

That dealie up there is the first thing I've drawn in five months*. That's not right (and not very good). I need to get back into 'stration, I think. Maybe I'll do 'Stration Fridays again. Yeah.

I was sifting through my email attachments, and found this old drawing from 2003. It was a commission for a book of good sleep habits. (I'm pretty sure sleeping under the bed isn't one of them.)



I like this one. I know I have another version of it in color somewhere; I'm going to see if I can find it. Ah, memories. I'd like to draw more.

Got a package in the mail today...



Y'see, I'd lost my stylus a while back, so wasn't drawing as much as I used to. Excuse? Maybe. I still draw on paper (did my hourly comic that way; it's not worth sharing), but prefer what I produce with the computator*. So, now I've got the tools to draw the way I like. Great. Good. We'll see if inspiration hits, and if its absence really was an excuse.

I am so ready to not use this thing! ;-)

Good morning.

More mouseplay. I was at a party last night; it made me want to draw a club scene.
Maybe I'll bust out the sketchbook and pens to do so with some detail.

I doodled this silliness during a recent D&D game, colored it tonight. I've been playing this troubled lad for over a year now...crazy. He's not my favorite character, but I like his story. I'll share it here if I ever put it into paragraphs.

Fooling around with the brushpen, coloring without the stylus.

Wow. Some great one-piece pieces of continuous line art at Dark Roasted Blend. These, to me, convey the essence of comfort. Sort of the opposite of Pollock's angry staccato; they're not jigsaw puzzles, there are no pauses. Just steady streams of output.
